about our training
OC Martial Arts Training uses the Art of War training program which combines multiple styles and fighting principles collected by Sensei David over the course of his successful martial arts journey.
Our primary style is Hapkido. We add karate, kickboxing, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu jitsu techniques into a single training program we call Art of War.
In todays world learning only standup or ground techniques will leave gaps in your training. Instead we promote cross training with other dojos, attending seminars with other masters, and collaborating to build true modern day martial artists. Just like Bruce Lee did long ago!
We train mostly outdoors. This gives our students the advantage of learning in an environment most realistic to an actual encounter on the street. If you need to use your martial arts skills it will be outside in your street clothes, not in a dojo with your gi on.
We do attend seminars, competitions and classes in other martial arts studios. That means you will train indoors on occasion with a gi.
